"Our main office is located in an aging area of the City, and we had been plagued with service outages. Most of our orders are received by telephone, so service outages mean lost business. Our telephone company blamed the cable provider, and the cable provider blamed our telephone company, without anyone seemingly doing much to really fix the problem. After attempting on our own for some time to gain improvements without much success, one discussion with Sara Dunnigan of the Business First-Greater Richmond program resulted in substantial improvement within a few weeks. She was able to leverage the weight of the larger business community in selling service providers on the need for upgrades in a neglected area. She assisted us in a very specific and tangible way with improving our telephone and data connection."
