As a growing company expanding into the market of high end wood fixtures, Premier Woodworking, Inc. needed to upgrade its manufacturing technology and successfully navigate all state and local regulations. "Our expansion needs are related to new process technology for high end fixture finishing and I wanted to bring in all the community representatives from economic development to let them know what we planned to do. Everyone gives you horror stories about how hard it is to get something like this permitted and we wanted to avoid that. The meeting went very well — we got everyone's undying support for our plans — and we're now in the process of permitting. Leonard Cake, my Business First-Henrico representative, calls me every week to see if there's anything else he can do to help me.
