The Greater Richmond Small Business Development Center is a partnership program between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, providing assistance and training to help small business owners and potential small business owners make sound decisions for the successful operation of their business. This service includes in-depth quality counseling, education and information services.

Richmond CoPilot
CoPilot is a collaboration of efforts from Richmond Region Businesses joined together from all industries in the profit and non-profit sectors to assist existing and potential business owners as they pilot their companies to new heights. CoPilot is a valuable new help desk and online resource for small business owners on their quest for information. CoPilot will serve and assist business owners and potential business owners in the areas of concern that are obstacles to overcome on the path of day to day success. These areas include financial management and budgeting, human resources and planning, marketing and promotion strategies, and overall growth and expansion patterns. Each of the partners offering assistance, information and counseling are leaders in their industry.

The Richmond Venture Forum
Richmond Venture Forum provides a forum to bring sources of capital and entrepreneurial ideas together. To this goal, the Richmond Venture Forum provides an educational forum in which entrepreneurs, sources for capital, and service professionals exchange ideas about venture related issues - promoting the common interests of all parties in the venture process. Luncheons and networking events are held every month and a member directory is available on the website.

Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE)
The Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE) is a nonprofit organization that uses older adults to help others generate economic gains. The nonprofit organization provides free and confidential business counseling, professional guidance, low cost workshops, and information accessible to all, to maximize the success of America’s existing and emerging small businesses. The Richmond Chapter of SCORE was founded in 1966 making it one of the oldest continuous operating chapters in the national SCORE organization. The counselors of Richmond SCORE are experienced business owners and managers who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help small business owners and potential small business owners achieve success.

U.S. Small Business Administration
The Small Business Administration (SBA) offers a number of services and tools for the small business person. From financial assistance such as SBA-loans to government contract opportunities, disaster assistance and free online training courses — the SBA wants to help your business succeed.

The Virginia Council of CEOs
The Virginia Council of CEOs, a nonprofit organization, connects the CEOs of small and mid-sized, second-stage Virginia companies through best-in-class peer roundtables and exclusive learning events. Member CEOs are brought together in private, CEO-only monthly roundtables that use a structured process to facilitate the exchange of experience, knowledge and support. Educational and social events are also held for the entire membership.
